Clay Pigeon Shooting
7th July 2011 saw some of the industry’s leading personalities join forces for a fun day at the Royal Berkshire Shooting School for the annual clay pigeon shooting challenge.
This year’s sponsors Crown Paints, CP, CWV Group, QEP/Vitrex Stoyden & Ronseal were supported by the major retailers and supply base of the industry at the event which raised just over £7,000, a large proportion of which will be going to the industry charity – the Rainy Day Trust.
The British weather blessed the event with glorious sunshine and some of the shooters benefited from the great conditions.
Richard Egginton from CuBrAlco Limited was the top performer on the day with David Hibbert of Stax taking the top Retailer/wholesaler award and Penny Teale winning the ladies competition. Our congratulations go to them.
In the Novice category Chris Morgan from Ronseal only missed 2 clays - an outstanding first outing and was rewarded with a bottle of bubbly for his achievement.
A fantastic time was had by all and some of the industry’s less fortunate will benefit as a result of the funds raised at the event.
The 2012 shoot will take place on Thursday 14 June, and if you are interested in joining in please drop an email to mda.mail@virgin.net for more details.
