Clay Pigeon Shooting

events-banner-clayOver 70 of the industry’s leading personalities took to the Berkshire countryside to take part in the annual charity clay pigeon shoot at the Royal Berkshire shooting school on the 14 June. The 2012 sponsors, Crown Paints, CWV Group, QEP/Vitrex, Sunflex & Yale were supported by the major retailers and wholesalers, including, Decco, Dunelm, Homebase, Screwfix, Stax, Trago Mills, The Tool Shop and Toolbank plus many suppliers to the industry at the event which raised just over £7,000, a large proportion of which will be going to the industry charity – the Rainy Day Trust. David Sadler from Price & Company was the top performer on the day with Richard Johnson of Homebase taking the top retailer award and Caroline Bacon & Vicky Cox also from Homebase came joint top in the ladies competition. Our congratulations go to them. In the Novice category Richard Jablonski from Homebase only missed 5 clays – an outstanding first outing and was rewarded with a bottle of bubbly for his achievement. A fantastic time was had by all and some of the industry’s less fortunate will benefit as a result of the funds raised at the event.
This years event is set to take place on 4 July and if you’d like to get involved please get in touch with event organiser Michel Dark on 01582 621121 or mda.mail@virgi.net.
