What we do

There are many ways in which we help our beneficiaries, for example;
Helping with:

  • Capital expenditure to help maintain a minimum quality of life
  • Mobility equipment and installations
  • Travel expenses to see distant relatives
  • Nursing home or residential fees,
  • Trade volunteers visit beneficiaries
  • Food hampers at Christmas
  • Paying utility bills

Many of our beneficiaries receive a modest Annual Award.

Sometimes we make one-off grants to assist with specific expenses: typically things like installing a stair lift, or refitting a house for ground floor living.

Our team of volunteers visits our beneficiaries regularly to make sure they are coping. These annual visits are mainly undertaken voluntarily by members of the Toolbank sales team, but we always welcome an additional helping hand from other members of the trade who are able to give up a little piece of their time.
