Tandem Parachute Jump

Industry jumps to charity call
Thirteen of our volunteers have so far managed to take to the skies for the inaugural Rainy Day Trust tandem parachute jump.  They each carried out a tandem jump at the British Army Parachute Association training centre at Netheravon, Wiltshire, right in the middle of the MOD's training facilities on Salisbury Plain.  The jump, from a height of 13,500ft, included a 45 second, 120mph freefall before parachutes were deployed.  The other ten jumpers will be back again over the next few weeks and we are hoping for good weather.

The purpose of the jump is to raise much-needed funds for the industry charity the Rainy Day Trust, and each member of the team has undertaken to raise £1,000.
