This year the Rainy Day Trust is 180 years old. In that time, we’ve seen numerous name changes and trustees and staff have come and gone. But throughout it all, we’ve operated to the same ethos; that the beneficiary comes first. We exist purely to help people from the home improvement sector, but we can’t do that without the support of businesses in that very sector.

This year, we are asking our supporters to go above and beyond their normal level of support and raise multiples of £180 or take part in events using multiples of £180 , so that we can keep doing what we do best – help people.

Firms large and small can run events of their own or make a straight donation in support of our birthday. Examples so far include the donation of 180 products by Rayware Ltd which will be sold to raise vital funds, the National Buying Group (NBG) will be asking all exhibitors at the national conference in November to make a donation of £180, our CEO, Bryan Clover, is completing his Challenge 180 walking six x 30 miles and last but by no means least, John Gaunt is walking 180 million steps in 180 days!!
