Anna joins with over 20 years of leadership experience across the NHS, public health, corporate, and charity sectors, with a proven track record in strategic leadership and income generation.
Most recently, as founding CEO of a national charity, Anna grew the organisation from startup to national reach over seven years, developing sustainable funding models and building strong partnerships with major construction and services companies including VINCI, Lendlease, Serco, Maximus, and Lovell, as well as many of the UKs major Housing Associations.
Richard Campbell-Drew (Chairman) is delighted to welcome Anna as the new CEO. “Anna’s sector expertise makes her perfectly positioned to understand the unique challenges facing people in our home improvement, DIY, trades, housewares, garden centres, and construction industries,” said Richard. “Those are the very people The Rainy Day Trust exists to support when they fall on hard times.
“As Anna steps into this role, we want to take a moment to thank our outgoing CEO Bryan, who has now officially stepped down to enjoy a well-earned retirement. Bryan’s dedication and leadership have been instrumental over the past decade bringing The Rainy Day Trust to where it is today, and we’re grateful for his years of service. We’re excited for Anna to take the baton and lead us into our next chapter of growth and impact. Her experience in scaling charitable operations whilst maintaining mission focus will be invaluable as the we implement our ambitious 5-year prevention strategy.”
Richard also commented that Anna’s personal experience as a parent to neurodivergent children and someone diagnosed with ADHD later in life, makes her the right fit for the Rainy Day Trust. “Anna brings genuine understanding of the barriers people face and the importance of accessible, practical support. This experience also perfectly aligns itself with the Rainy Day Trust’s new strategic direction, moving toward prevention-focused support that helps people before crisis hits, rather than only stepping in afterward.
Commenting on her appointment Anna said she would describe herself as someone who rolls up her sleeves and gets stuck in and she was thrilled to be joining an industry, and an organisation, that placed people at its heart. “In fact my first full day in the role will see me attending the Excellence in Housewares Awards in London that evening! So plenty of opportunities to meet people at the outset and I’m very much looking forward to it.”
Anna officially starts on 1st October and is very keen to collaborate with organisations across the sector. To find out more about the work of the Rainy Day Trust, how it can support your staff or partnership opportunities, please get in touch using the details below.
