The Rainy Day Trust has launched Mad March Million, a new month-long movement challenge delivered in partnership with Wellbeing People, designed to get the home improvement industry moving and connected.
Running from 1st to 31st March 2026, the campaign invites businesses from across the sector to come together and collectively complete one million steps. The challenge encourages people to move a little more each day, whether that’s walking, running, stretching or simply building extra movement into their routine.
Mad March Million has been created to be simple, inclusive and accessible to everyone, regardless of fitness level. Participants are encouraged to dedicate just 10 minutes a day, around 1% of their time, to additional movement, making it easy to fit around working life.
The campaign is built around team participation, with organisations able to enter teams of up to ten people. Activity is logged online throughout the month, with medals awarded for consistency and a sector-wide leaderboard introducing an element of friendly competition.
While the focus is on wellbeing and participation, organisations also have the option to fundraise for the Rainy Day Trust alongside the challenge, helping support people across the home improvement industry who are facing difficult times.
