We’re honoured to be one of four charities at the heart of the industry’s most unforgettable road trip… and we can’t wait to get going.

We’re thrilled to share that Rainy Day Trust has been chosen as one of the four official charity partners for the Pavestone Rally 2027, alongside CRASH, Band of Builders and the Maddie Rose Foundation.

It’s a privilege to stand alongside three brilliant charities, each doing incredible work for people in and around our industry. And it means a great deal to be part of an event that brings our sector together in such a fun way.

The rally details

From 8 to 12 September 2027, teams from across the industry will set off on an epic European adventure:

UK → Paris → Geneva → Locarno → Bolzano → Ljubljana

Along the way, they’ll take on some of the most spectacular roads in Europe, including the Alps, with route options such as the Mont Blanc Tunnel, the St Gotthard Pass and the legendary Stelvio Pass.

But the rally is about so much more than the driving.

Expect ridiculous cars, fancy dress, daily challenges, plenty of laughs and a brilliant few days with people from right across the sector… all whilst raising money for causes that make such a difference.

Why this matters so much

The 2025 Rally raised £233,000 for the selected charities. For 2027, the Pavestone team is aiming for £250,000… and with your help, we’ve no doubt they’ll get there.

Each team is asked to raise at least £2,500, and last time the top team raised an amazing £23,000. Most of the money raised is shared between the four charity partners, and the rest goes to a charity each team chooses.

For us, every pound means more people across the home improvement, housewares, DIY, builders merchants and building products sector getting the right support at the right time. Often, that means stepping in early… before a tough moment turns into a crisis. Tough times don’t discriminate, and when our sector faces derailment moments, we’re here.

Let’s make the 5th Pavestone Rally the biggest one yet… and reach even more people across the sector!

Driven by one of our own

We’re especially proud that the rally’s driving force is one of our very own trustees, Aaron Frogley. As Project Lead, Aaron has poured his energy, passion and organisational magic into building the rally into what it is today… a much-loved fixture that brings out the very best of our industry.

Being chosen as one of the four charity partners for the Pavestone Rally is a real honour for us.

The rally captures everything we love about this industry: generosity, creativity, a healthy dose of mischief, and people who show up for each other. A huge thank you to Aaron for his vision and hard work. We can’t wait to meet the teams and cheer everyone over the Stelvio!

Meet the teams… and a little something up our sleeve

We’re so excited to meet the teams and see the creativity and innovation that this industry is famous for. From wonderfully decorated cars to inspired fancy dress, the rally is where our sector’s imagination really gets to shine.

We’ve also got a challenge in the works for teams before they set off. We won’t give too much away just yet… but let’s just say it involves putting the kettle on and meeting some friendly faces from the Rainy Day Trust family, right across the UK. Watch this space!
