STAX Trade Centres raised a huge £4000 for Rainy Day Trust, the charity supporting the home improvement, DIY, builders’ merchants and trades sector, through raffles held this month at its Big Brands events in Manchester and Glasgow.

The two events brought together suppliers, tradespeople, independent DIY store owners and industry partners, with STAX naming Rainy Day Trust as its national chosen charity and hosting the charity at both locations to help raise much needed funds and awareness for its work across the sector.

STAX is a Platinum Partner of Rainy Day Trust, the charity’s highest tier of corporate partnership, reflecting a strong and long-standing commitment to supporting people across the industry. Alongside its fundraising support, STAX has also embraced Rainy Day Trust’s Ambassadors Programme, with colleagues across STAX sites trained as accredited Ambassadors,  equipped to recognise the signs that someone may be struggling and help point them towards the right support, often before they reach crisis point.

We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown at both Manchester and Glasgow. A huge thank you to STAX for choosing us as their national charity partner for these events and to every supplier and customer who dug deep to support us on the night.

As a Platinum Partner, STAX doesn’t just support us financially, their Ambassadors are out there every day, embedded in their teams, ready to spot when a colleague may need a helping hand.

This is what our prevention-first approach is all about. This sector never fails to amaze me with its generosity.
